"A thousand Years Gregorian Chant" (lecture / concert)

For a group of broadly interested people Gregoriana provides lectures called "A thousand years

Gregorian Chant"; chant seen from a general cultural-historical perspective.

Central issues are: What is Gregorian Chant? History of Gregorian chant. What disappeared with the

introduction of Gregorian chant? How was chant delivered? How was and is chant performed?

The lecture will be equipped with video and audio material, and, depending on the wishes of the

applicant, can be shorter or longer (possibly spread over several days), expanding on the above and

/ or other aspects of chant, provided with live sung music examples, and possibly end with a concert

by the trio / quartet Gregoriana.

The lecture is intended for a general public, not only to think of church congregations and parishes,

but eg also training centers, schools, adult education centers, community centers and libraries.
